Stockdale Youth Basketball League

Stockdale Youth Basketball League (SYBL) is a registered, non-profit organization that provides a youth basketball program for boys and girls of all skill levels who are in Pre-K through 6th grades. We understand that basketball is only one facet of a young person’s life. Our mission is to be a memorable part of their journey by providing a healthy and safe environment where they have a positive basketball experience improving as a player, embrace competition with energy and enthusiasm, and learn to work together as a team. SYBL is somewhere they can learn life lessons and skills that they will use outside of the basketball court and feel like an important part of the team regardless of their performance. Most of all, we want all players to learn to have fun at both practice and games. The value is in their educational journey.

SYBL recognizes that coaches and volunteers are an important part of our success. Our goal is to provide every coach and volunteer with the support and tools to succeed. We are committed to creating a positive culture, in which coaches, volunteers, parents, fans, officials, and players work together to achieve this mission.

Brad Brantley, President

Brad is a teacher at Stockdale Elementary as well as a High School Girls Basketball coach. He is a Youth Deacon at the Stockdale Church of Christ where he shares his fun loving spirit with all of the kids as he pushes them to succeed in all they do!

Joseph Neyland, Vice President

Joseph is a Veteran of the USAF with 8 yrs of Active Duty Service. He now works with EOG in Shared Services. He is also on the city council and is the councilman for District V as well as a Youth Deacon at Stockdale Church of Christ where he also shows he cares for kids as well as in everything he does for our community!

Megan Sekula, Secretary

Megan works at the SISD Junior High and High School Library. She is a proud member of the First Baptist Church of Stockdale and actively participates in additional youth sports organizations throughout the community. She has such a kind heart and quiet spirit and it shows in all she does!

Carolyn Martinez, Treasurer

Carolyn is a REALTOR, working primarily in Wilson County. She also helps coordinate many youth events at Stockdale Church of Christ. She has coached many different youth sports over the years. She loves to help kids and always wants the best for everyone!

Yvonne Colunga, Public Relations

Yvonne is a Paraprofessional with Stockdale ISD. She has coached many different youth sports over the years and she has a fire for sports and helping kids grow. She will cheer for them all, on and off the court, field, pitch - you name it and she is there!

Shanna Brantley, Member

Shanna is a Nurse Practitioner with the VA is New Braunfels. She is always ready to cheer, encourage or stand up for our kids. She will do whatever needs done to help these kids succeed!

Dan Martinez, Member

Dan is a new home contractor that builds new construction homes all over Wilson Co and surrounding areas. He is a Youth Deacon at the Stockdale Church of Christ where he continues to encourage and support kids of our community. He has coached many sports for many years and has a love for basketball that he tries to instill in these kids!

Vanessa Urrabazo, Member

Vanessa has a love of sports and kids. She will dive in to any situation to help out where needed. She has an enthusiasm that is contagious and will support, encourage and CHEER on everyone of these kids!
